[Stockton, CA] Former Golf Pro Mykal Parsons Arrested in San Joaquin County for Embezzlement

STOCKTON, CA — Mykal Parsons, a 44-year-old former golf professional from Stockton, was arrested in San Joaquin County on suspicion of embezzling nearly $150,000 from Elkhorn Golf Club.

According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, Parsons was taken into custody on May 8 following an investigation that began in November 2024 after club officials reported significant missing cash deposits. Detectives found approximately $147,000 missing from club funds between 2022 and 2024.

Parsons was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and faces charges of embezzlement and grand theft. He was arraigned on May 21 in San Joaquin County Superior Court and is scheduled for further arraignment on June 11.

San Joaquin County District Attorney Ron Freitas condemned the alleged crime as a serious breach of trust and vowed to pursue justice and restitution for the victims.
