Alyssa Boyd dies in fatal Columbia Township ATV crash

Fatal Columbia Township ATV crash death of Alyssa Boyd – Obituary

A tragic ATV crash in Columbia Township, Bradford County, on Friday evening claimed the life of 23-year-old Alyssa Boyd from Bloomsburg and left a former NCAA wide receiver with serious injuries.

Pennsylvania State Police say the accident happened shortly after 8 p.m. when the ATV struck a deer that darted into the roadway. Boyd, who was riding as a passenger, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the ATV, 24-year-old Julian Fleming of Elysburg, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Guthrie Troy Community Hospital for treatment. Authorities noted that neither Boyd nor Fleming was wearing any protective gear at the time of the crash.

A deer carcass matching the collision damage was located at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.

Fleming, once a top football recruit from Southern Columbia, signed with Ohio State and later transferred to Penn State in 2024. Though he was anticipated to join the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent, he reportedly did not pass his physical examination and was not signed.
