Fatal Seattle shooting death of August Alfred Lastrappe – Obituary

August Alfred Lastrappe, 24, of Seattle, was one of three individuals shot and killed in a deadly shooting that took place in the Pioneer Square neighborhood during the early morning hours of May 17.

Seattle police responded shortly after 1 a.m. to the area of 2nd Avenue South and South Main Street following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered four victims with gunshot wounds. Lastrappe, along with 27-year-old Briaun Keith Dinish-Lomelli and 19-year-old Keilani Renae Harris, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that all three victims died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the deaths as homicides. A fourth person was also shot but survived and continues to recover.

The circumstances that led to the shooting remain unclear, and law enforcement has yet to make any arrests in the case. Authorities are urging the public to assist with the investigation and are especially interested in locating a black Tesla, possibly a Model Y, which was in the vicinity when the shooting occurred. Investigators believe the vehicle may contain critical video footage that could help identify suspects.

The case remains under active investigation as police seek justice for Lastrappe and the other victims.
