Celina Marie Rose Kenyon dies in fatal San Diego plane crash

Fatal San Diego plane crash death of Celina Marie Rose Kenyon – Obituary

Celina Marie Rose Kenyon, 36, was one of six individuals presumed dead after a small plane crashed in a San Diego neighborhood early Thursday morning. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Kenyon along with David Shapiro, 42, and Emma L. Huke, 25, as victims aboard the Cessna aircraft that went down on the 10200 block of Sample Street at 3:47 a.m.

Authorities believe all six people on the plane lost their lives in the incident. While the crash caused fires that damaged homes and vehicles on the street, only a few residents suffered non-life-threatening injuries, primarily from smoke or emergency evacuations.

Kenyon was included in a tribute by Tandem Management Company, a music industry firm that named her alongside Shapiro, Huke, Daniel Williams, and Kendall Fortner as individuals the music world had tragically lost. While her exact role was not publicly disclosed, the tribute suggests she had a connection to the music scene, possibly through work or collaboration with Sound Talent Group—a San Diego-based talent agency co-founded by Shapiro, which confirmed the deaths of three of its employees.

Daniel Williams, former drummer of the rock band The Devil Wears Prada, was also on board. The sixth victim, Dominic Damian, was identified by local gym The Training Center, which announced a memorial event in his honor.

At a press briefing Friday, federal investigators revealed that some navigational equipment intended to assist pilots in landing at Montgomery Gibbs Executive Airport was not working at the time of the crash, including the runway’s approach lighting system. The aircraft had been headed to that airport when it went down.
