Halifax, Nova Scotia Man Mahir Ali Ibrahim Arrested in Halifax for Forcing Children to Drink Alcohol
HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA — Mahir Ali Ibrahim, a 27-year-old resident of Halifax, was arrested in Halifax in connection with an incident at the Halifax Shopping Centre involving minors.
According to the Halifax Regional Police, Ibrahim was taken into custody on Friday evening after allegedly following two teenage boys into a bathroom on May 22 around 5:30 p.m. Authorities say he forced the boys into a stall, blocked their exit, and made them consume alcohol.
Police also reported that Ibrahim was later seen in the mall’s parkade approaching young girls and pressuring them to drink alcohol as well.
Ibrahim was arrested without incident on May 23 at 7:30 p.m. and was remanded into custody. He is currently facing two counts of forcible confinement and two counts of administering a noxious substance. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Monday.
