London, England Man Arrested in Brent for Fatal House Fire That Killed Mother and Three Children

LONDON, ENGLAND — A 41-year-old man was arrested in Brent, northwest London, in connection with a deadly house fire that claimed the lives of a 43-year-old woman and her three children.

According to the Metropolitan Police, the man was taken into custody in the early hours of Saturday after emergency services responded to a fire on Tillett Close in the Stonebridge area shortly after 1:20 a.m. Authorities say the blaze resulted in the deaths of the woman, a 15-year-old girl, an eight-year-old boy, and a four-year-old boy, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody as investigators from the Metropolitan Police and London Fire Brigade continue to determine the cause of the fire. Two additional individuals were taken to hospital, and their conditions are currently unknown.

The arrested man was transported to a local detention facility and is currently facing charges related to the fatal incident.
