San Antonio, Texas Man Todd Benjamin Stewart Arrested in Bexar County for Deadly Arson

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — Todd Benjamin Stewart, a 47-year-old resident of San Antonio, was arrested in Bexar County in connection with a deadly house fire that claimed the life of his 76-year-old mother, Maria Yolanda Stewart.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, Stewart was taken into custody on Tuesday morning at the scene of the fire in the 1200 block of Rigsby Avenue. Authorities say the incident occurred early Tuesday and resulted in Maria Stewart’s death due to inhalation of combustion products.

Stewart was transported to the Bexar County Jail and is currently facing charges of arson causing bodily injury or death.
