Antonio Hopkins dies in fatal Millsboro motorcycle crash
Fatal Millsboro motorcycle crash death of Antonio Hopkins – Obituary
Antonio Hopkins, 58, of Millsboro, lost his life in a motorcycle collision that occurred early the morning of May 25 along Millsboro Highway.
Delaware State Police reported that the crash took place around 2:30 a.m. near East Line Road. Investigators say a 2006 Toyota Sienna, traveling southbound, veered out of its lane while taking a curve, crossed into the opposite lane, and collided with Hopkins’ 2010 Victory motorcycle. Hopkins was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, a 48-year-old Salisbury, Maryland man, was not hurt. Two passengers in the vehicle were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening, while a third occupant was uninjured.
Authorities closed the affected section of Millsboro Highway for approximately three and a half hours while conducting their investigation. The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is still working to determine the cause of the crash.
