Bay Minette, Alabama Man Decareus Keywon Mallory Andrews Named Suspect in Fatal Shooting
BAY MINETTE, AL — Decareus Keywon Mallory Andrews, a 28-year-old resident of Bay Minette, has been named as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Dyrontae Condarrly Booker, a 21-year-old man from Atmore, which occurred in Bay Minette on Friday night.
According to the Bay Minette Police Department, Andrews fled the scene on foot after the shooting, which took place around 10:20 p.m. in the 900 block of Daphne Road during a large gathering. Officers responding to the sound of gunfire found Booker lying in a yard with multiple gunshot wounds.
Booker was transported to North Baldwin Infirmary, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities have confirmed that the suspect and victim knew each other, and the shooting was not a random act.
