Fatal Omagh, County Tyrone road crash death of Bernadette Cranley – Obituary

Bernadette (Bernie) Cranley, aged 82 and originally from Lifford, County Donegal, passed away following a serious two-vehicle collision outside Omagh on Mellon Road. The crash took place around 12:30pm yesterday afternoon when her silver Toyota Vitz collided with a blue Suzuki Vitara.

 

Ms. Cranley died at the scene of the accident. The other driver involved, a woman in her seventies, was rushed to hospital with significant injuries. Emergency services responded quickly, but unfortunately, Ms. Cranley’s injuries were fatal.

 

Local authorities have reopened the road after conducting a thorough technical examination. The tragic event has deeply affected the community, highlighting the importance of road safety, especially for elderly drivers and vulnerable road users.
