Fatal Ramsey shooting death of Diamond Eddie Manly – Obituary

Eighteen-year-old Diamond Eddie Manly, a senior at Champlin Park High School, was found dead from a gunshot wound inside a car in Ramsey on March 2, prompting a homicide investigation.

 

Law enforcement officers responded to reports of an unresponsive individual in a vehicle parked along the 4600 block of Snowy Owl Street Northwest. Upon arrival, police discovered Manly deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.

 

On March 18, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office announced that four teenagers, ranging from 15 to 17 years old, had been taken into custody in connection with Manly’s death. The arrests occurred in multiple locations, including Shoreview, Ramsey, and Coon Rapids. Authorities noted that none of the teens have been formally charged yet.

 

Manly’s family described him as compassionate and supportive, someone who enjoyed soccer and had a passion for mentoring younger children. His parents had been looking forward to celebrating his high school graduation this June.

 

The investigation into his killing remains ongoing as authorities work toward filing charges and uncovering further details.
