Fatal Jackson hit-and-run death of Jaylen King – Obituary

Jaylen King, 21, was identified as the victim in a deadly hit-and-run that occurred Sunday evening in Jackson, Mississippi.

 

Authorities say the incident took place in the 800 block of Claiborne Avenue around 7 p.m. King, who was walking in the area, was reportedly struck from behind by an unidentified vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene.

 

The Jackson Police Department, with assistance from the Hinds County Coroner’s Office, confirmed King’s identity after notifying his next of kin.

 

The investigation is still ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with relevant information to contact Jackson Police or Crimestoppers.
