Fatal Wilcox County shooting death of Nathadius Kenta Lawson and Charleston Calix – Obituary

Two men, identified as 36-year-old Nathadius Kenta Lawson and 40-year-old Charleston Calix, both residents of Pineview, Georgia, lost their lives in a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 25, in Wilcox County.

 

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the gunfire erupted during a gathering at a residence in the 200 block of Depot Street. Both Lawson and Calix were declared dead at the scene when authorities arrived.

 

The GBI has taken over the case and stated that the investigation remains active. Officials have requested that anyone with relevant details contact either the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office or the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Perry.

 

Once all leads are pursued, the completed case will be submitted to the Cordele Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for potential prosecution. Updates are expected as the case develops.
