Richard Roberts, a 20-year-old man from Sebring, Florida, was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Geary County, Kansas.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 2:13 a.m. along U.S. Highway 77. Roberts was traveling north in a 2020 Ford Fusion at a high rate of speed when the vehicle veered off the road into a ditch.

The car continued through the ditch until it collided with a tree, which triggered the vehicle to burst into flames. Authorities confirmed that Roberts died at the scene as a result of the crash.
