Shanautica Parks, 24, lost her life in a tragic shooting that occurred during a community celebration in Holly Grove, Arkansas. The incident took place on May 25 at the intersection of Dr. Herd Stone and Smith Streets, where residents had gathered for Holly Grove Day festivities.

According to authorities, two additional people were wounded in the shooting — a 19-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man — both of whom were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The Arkansas State Police were called in to investigate the case at the request of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Holly Grove Police Department. So far, officials have not released any details regarding suspects involved.

Parks’ body has been transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for a full autopsy to confirm the precise cause of death.
