Fatal County Meath road crash death of Theresa Morgan – Obituary

Theresa Morgan, a woman in her 60s, lost her life after being hit by a car while walking along the Dublin Road in County Meath. The incident occurred just south of the Nine Milestone Roundabout at approximately 7:10pm yesterday evening.

 

Emergency responders pronounced Ms. Morgan dead at the scene. Her body was later transferred to Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem will be conducted. The vehicle involved was occupied by a male driver and a passenger, both in their twenties, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.

 

The road was closed for a technical investigation following the incident but has since reopened. Gardaí in Ashbourne are urging any witnesses or individuals with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

 

Local councillor Joe Bonner described the tragedy as a devastating blow to the Ashbourne and Donaghmore communities. He noted that Ms. Morgan was a highly respected figure, well-known through her involvement in the GAA and other local organizations. Bonner said the entire area is in shock and pledged the community’s full support to her grieving family.
