Fatal Hamtramck shooting death of Abdul Ahad – Obituary

Abdul Ahad was fatally shot on Sunday night at Jayne Field in Hamtramck, Michigan. The shooting also left three other individuals injured, including victims of stabbing and a vehicle-related incident during the same series of events. Authorities are actively investigating the case.

Ahad was remembered by the Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote Michigan organization as a dedicated community servant who contributed extensively by registering voters, distributing food to families in need, and always being ready to support local efforts.

The incident occurred near Conant and Davison streets at Jayne Field, part of Detroit’s park system. No arrests have been made so far. Police urge anyone with information to contact the Detroit Police 11th Precinct or Crime Stoppers to assist with the investigation.
