Adan Amaya dies in fatal Columbus Southeast Side crash

Fatal Columbus Southeast Side crash death of Adan Amaya – Obituary

Adan Amaya, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene following a crash that occurred just before 2 a.m. on May 24 at the intersection of South Hamilton Road and Eastland Two in Columbus. According to police reports, a Ford Explorer traveling northbound on South Hamilton Road ran a red light and collided with a westbound Toyota Camry. Amaya was a passenger in the Toyota. Witnesses told authorities the Toyota driver exited the vehicle and fled the scene after the collision. The driver of the Ford Explorer was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition. The Columbus Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit continues to seek information about the crash and encourages anyone with details to come forward or provide anonymous tips through Central Ohio Crime Stoppers.
