Fatal Far East El Paso shooting death of Angel Salazar – Obituary
Nineteen-year-old Angel Salazar was fatally shot late Friday night in Far East El Paso, police confirmed.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire around 11:09 p.m. and discovered Salazar suffering from gunshot wounds in the 12400 block of Flora Alba Drive. Authorities believe the shooting may have taken place a block away on Dana Michelle Street.
Salazar was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries, according to the El Paso Police Department.
Detectives from the Crimes Against Persons unit are handling the case. Investigators suspect that Salazar had been inside a vehicle with another individual when the shooting occurred.
