Fatal Gaines County rollover crash death of Bobby Trevino – Obituary

Bobby Trevino, 49, of Denver City, lost his life in a single-vehicle rollover accident Saturday afternoon in Gaines County, Texas.

The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on State Highway 83 near County Road 217. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Trevino was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon XL eastbound when he failed to stay within his lane. His vehicle left the road, and in an attempt to correct course, he oversteered, causing the SUV to cross the highway, hit a fence, and overturn.

Trevino was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, 43-year-old Misty Nichole Jones, also from Denver City, was seriously injured and transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash to determine if any additional factors contributed to the incident.
