Fatal Tuolumne County crash death of Boyd Fuller Palmer III – Obituary
Boyd Fuller Palmer III, a 40-year-old resident of Coulterville, lost his life in a severe truck accident on Saturday in Tuolumne County, California. According to the California Highway Patrol, Palmer was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger southbound on Wards Ferry Road, which was closed at the time.
He apparently lost control of the vehicle, which then plunged off the road down a steep mountainside. The truck tumbled several hundred feet, overturning multiple times and ejecting Palmer from the vehicle.
The crash went unnoticed until Sunday evening when a passing boater spotted the wreckage near the Tuolumne River Canyon beneath Wards Ferry Road. Due to the isolated location, emergency crews were unable to reach the site until the following morning.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the accident, and it remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were involved. The tragic incident continues to be under investigation by authorities.
