Fatal Goose Creek house fire death of Danial John Skinner – Obituary

Danial John Skinner, 69, of Goose Creek, was killed in a two-alarm house fire early Tuesday morning on Kathryn Drive.

Firefighters from multiple departments, including Goose Creek Rural Fire Department, Central Berkeley, Pine Ridge, Hanahan, Caromi, Pimlico, City of Goose Creek, and Joint Base Charleston, responded to the blaze which started just after midnight. Crews arrived quickly and contained the fire before 1 a.m., but Skinner was found deceased inside the home at the scene.

The Berkeley County Coroner confirmed Skinner’s death and said an autopsy will determine the official cause and manner of death. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire.
