Harris County, Texas Woman Derricka Ross Arrested in Harris County for Fatally Shooting Boyfriend
HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS— Derricka Ross, a 24-year-old resident of Harris County, was arrested in Harris County in connection with the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, Javion Williams, during a disturbance in an apartment stairwell.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Ross was taken into custody on Monday after deputies responded to the 11000 block of West Road at the Derby at Steeplechase complex. Authorities say the incident occurred overnight after Williams, 22, reportedly came to the apartment to retrieve his belongings, leading to a confrontation with Ross.
During the altercation, gunshots were fired, and deputies arriving at the scene found Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ross was transported to the Harris County Jail and is currently facing a murder charge related to the incident.
