Matthew Brabant, 20, was fatally wounded in a shooting that took place early on May 17 at a motel on the 2000 block of Avenue B North in Saskatoon. Police responded to reports of a person shot around 5 a.m. and found Brabant injured at the scene. He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the homicide. A 27-year-old suspect was taken into custody on the day of the shooting, and a 26-year-old man was arrested over the weekend. Both face charges of first-degree murder as the investigation continues. Authorities are actively working to gather evidence and ensure justice for Brabant’s family.
