A 58-year-old man from New Port Richey dies in fatal Pasco County pedestrian crash

Fatal Pasco County pedestrian crash death of 58-year-old New Port Richey man – Obituary

A New Port Richey resident, aged 58, lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while walking along Plathe Road in Pasco County. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred just after 10 p.m. on May 17. According to the report, a 30-year-old man from Holiday was driving a Buick Century eastbound on Plathe Road near Acropolis Lane when the pedestrian was hit.

 

Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital, but he later succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision. The exact circumstances leading to the pedestrian being in or crossing the roadway are still under review. Authorities continue to investigate the incident as they seek more information about the fatal crash.
