Fatal Fountain Valley crash death of Alexandra Payerli – Obituary
Alexandra Payerli, a 35-year-old resident of Santa Ana, lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in Fountain Valley, California, on the night of May 25, 2025. The accident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. near Warner Avenue and Los Jardines West.
Authorities stated that Payerli was running southbound across Warner Avenue from Mile Square Park when she was struck by a gray Toyota Corolla moving westbound. Emergency personnel transported her to a nearby hospital, but she later died from her injuries. Her family has been notified of the tragic event.
The driver involved in the crash, a 17-year-old boy from Westminster, remained at the location and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. At this stage, police believe neither alcohol nor drugs contributed to the collision.
In a separate and unrelated incident at the same site during the fatal crash investigation, a suspected impaired driver crashed into an unattended police vehicle. Fortunately, no law enforcement officers were harmed, and the driver was taken into custody. Officials emphasized the continued dangers of driving under the influence and urged the public to exercise caution, particularly around emergency scenes and intersections.
Investigators from the Fountain Valley Police Traffic Bureau are continuing to gather details and are asking anyone with information about the fatal crash to contact them using reference number 25-16166.
