Fatal Stoney River Township motorcycle crash death of Derek Church – Obituary

Derek Church, 34, from Hoyt Lakes, died on Memorial Day after crashing his motorcycle into a ditch in northern Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the accident occurred around 2 p.m. Monday on eastbound Highway 1 near Moose Ridge Road in Stoney River Township. Church was riding a 2016 Kawasaki KL650 Enduro when it veered off the road and entered the right-hand ditch.

Emergency responders pronounced Church dead at the scene. Authorities noted that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
