Fatal Jackson shooting death of Jeffrey Bolton – Obituary

Jeffrey Bolton, 24, was fatally shot on May 19 in broad daylight just across the street from Green Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi.

Jackson Police responded to the scene at Hillside Drive and Forest Avenue, where Bolton was found suffering from gunshot wounds and later died. The incident shocked the community as it occurred near a school filled with children.

Two teenagers, 17-year-old Timauri Blackmon and 16-year-old Tavorris Flowers, were arrested and charged with accessory before and after the fact of murder in connection to Bolton’s death. A judge set Blackmon’s bond at $500,000, while Flowers was denied bond. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Demarion Martin is being sought by authorities on a capital murder charge.
