Fatal San Antonio murder-suicide death of Mariah Anne Adams – Obituary

Mariah Anne Adams, 54, was found dead in her Northwest Side San Antonio home in what police are investigating as a murder-suicide. Authorities believe she fatally shot her parents before turning the gun on herself.

San Antonio police responded to a welfare check Thursday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. at a residence located in the 8600 block of Bristlecone Drive. After receiving no response at the door, an officer looked through a window and saw two unresponsive individuals inside.

Inside the home, police discovered 84-year-old Ernest Dean Adams and 83-year-old Sharon Leahey Adams deceased on a couch. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed Ernest died from a gunshot wound to the head, while Sharon had sustained multiple gunshot injuries. Their deaths were classified as homicides.

Mariah Anne Adams was also located deceased in the residence. The medical examiner determined she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators say there were no signs of forced entry, and the timeline of the incident remains unclear. Authorities continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
