Nancy M. Destevens dies in fatal Keating Township, Pennsylvania motorcycle crash

Fatal Keating Township, Pennsylvania motorcycle crash death of Nancy M. Destevens – Obituary

Nancy M. Destevens, 57, of Gaines, Pennsylvania, lost her life following a motorcycle accident on state Route 155 in Keating Township, Potter County. The crash occurred around 4 p.m. on May 11, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Authorities reported that a 1971 Harley-Davidson Electra, operated by 74-year-old Randy L. Cornelius of Roulette, was heading south when it veered across the double yellow line and collided with a guardrail in the northbound lane. The collision took place just south of Railroad Bridge Road.

Both Cornelius and Destevens were thrown from the motorcycle during the impact. Destevens was flown from the scene by medical helicopter but later died at Penn Highland DuBois Hospital from her injuries. Cornelius was seriously hurt and taken to UPMC Cole for medical care.

Investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the tragic crash.
