Fatal Clackamas County motorcycle crash death of Niko Daniel Harpham – Obituary

Niko Daniel Harpham, a 28-year-old resident of Oregon City, died following a head-on collision on Highway 224 in Clackamas County on Sunday evening.

The Oregon State Police reported that the accident took place near milepost 45 around 5:15 p.m. Investigators found that Harpham was riding a motorcycle when he lost control navigating a curve, causing the bike to slide into the path of an oncoming Kia Forte.

The car struck Harpham’s motorcycle directly. He was airlifted by Life Flight to a nearby hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Kia received only minor injuries.

The crash led to significant traffic delays, as the highway remained closed for approximately five hours while authorities conducted their investigation.
