Sergio L. Corrales dies in fatal Grant County car crash

Fatal Grant County car crash death of Sergio L. Corrales – Obituary

Sergio L. Corrales, 52, lost his life early Tuesday morning following a single-vehicle accident near Mattawa in Grant County, Washington. Authorities report that the incident also left his passenger, Sonia G. Corrales, injured.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Sergio Corrales was operating a 1999 Honda Civic heading south on Highway 243 around 4 a.m. when the vehicle veered off the roadway near milepost 3.8. In an attempt to regain control, he overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to overturn.

Both Sergio and Sonia Corrales were ejected from the car during the crash. Sergio was pronounced dead at the scene, while Sonia was transported to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
