Wiley Morse dies in fatal Pike County pedestrian crash

Fatal Pike County pedestrian crash death of Wiley Morse – Obituary

Wiley Morse, a 47-year-old man from Troy, lost his life Sunday evening after being struck by two different vehicles on U.S. Highway 231 in Pike County, according to Alabama State Troopers.

 

The deadly incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. on May 25, about three miles south of Troy. Authorities reported that Morse was initially hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. Moments later, he was struck a second time by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Anthony Hicks of Pansey.

 

Emergency responders pronounced Morse dead at the site of the crash.

 

Investigators are still searching for the unidentified driver and vehicle involved in the initial hit-and-run. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency at (334) 983-4587.
