Abu Thomas dies in fatal Wilmington shooting

Fatal Wilmington shooting death of Abu Thomas – Obituary

On the evening of Friday, May 23, 2025, a shooting in the area of West 23rd and Washington Streets in Wilmington, Delaware, claimed the life of 24-year-old Abu Thomas.

 

Wilmington police responded to the scene at approximately 7:44 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

 

Abu Thomas was critically injured and later died at the hospital. The second individual, a 25-year-old man, survived and was reported to be in stable condition.

 

Authorities have not yet shared any details about potential suspects or what may have led to the shooting.
