Alonzo Curtis Crawford, a 67-year-old resident of Des Moines, has been identified as the motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision on Friday, May 23, along Des Moines Memorial Drive.

According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, Crawford sustained fatal injuries due to multiple blunt force impacts after the crash, which occurred near the intersection of Des Moines Memorial Drive and South 212th Street. His death was classified as accidental.

Following the incident, authorities temporarily shut down Des Moines Memorial Drive between South 208th and South 216th streets to allow emergency crews and investigators to work at the scene.

The Des Moines Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. No further information has been made public at this time.
