Fatal Gulfport, Harrison County crash death of Braden Harper – Obituary

Braden Harper, a 40-year-old man from Ocean Springs, died in a multi-vehicle collision involving his motorcycle and three cars in Gulfport on Wednesday evening. According to Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer, the crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 49 and Dedeaux Road around 5:58 p.m.

Harper was traveling northbound on Highway 49 when his motorcycle struck a van crossing the road. The impact caused the van to collide with two additional vehicles waiting in a turn lane on Dedeaux Road. Harper suffered blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the van sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The coroner noted that Harper had purchased the motorcycle on the same day as the accident. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
