A tragic shooting in Lanham, Maryland, resulted in the death of 33-year-old Cameron Smith on May 19, 2025. Authorities with the Prince George’s County Police Department confirmed the arrest of 25-year-old Kyon Adams, who has been charged in connection with the incident.

Police officers were called to the 9300 block of Lanham Severn Road around 8:20 p.m., where they discovered Smith suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Another man was also struck by gunfire during the altercation but is expected to recover, as his injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
