Fatal Florida, Montgomery County crash death of Colleen Cahill – Obituary

Colleen Cahill, a 62-year-old woman from Gloversville, tragically lost her life after a two-vehicle collision in the town of Florida. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident occurred Tuesday evening at the junction of State Highway 161 and Fort Hunter Road, involving an SUV and a pickup truck.

 

When deputies arrived, they found the SUV overturned on its side, with emergency responders already attending to the occupants. While the passenger inside the SUV was unharmed, Cahill, who was driving, required extrication before being transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

 

The pickup truck’s passengers also needed rescue efforts. The driver and front-seat passenger were taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center, and the rear-seat passenger was airlifted to the same hospital. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.
