Dorothy Fuller, a 38-year-old woman from Fresno, tragically lost her life in a car accident that occurred near Sanger, California, over the weekend. The crash also involved a Sanger Police Department motorcycle, which was grazed during the collision.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident happened on Saturday at the intersection of Highway 180 and Del Rey Avenue, just north of Sanger. Fuller was driving a white Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Del Rey Avenue when she veered into the westbound lanes of Highway 180. At the same time, a 72-year-old man was driving a Hummer H2 in the second lane of westbound Highway 180.
The two vehicles collided as the Chevrolet was broadsided by the Hummer while entering the intersection. The impact caused Fuller’s car to swerve and strike the right-side mirror of a nearby Sanger Police motorcycle. Thankfully, the motorcycle officer was unharmed, and the driver of the Hummer sustained only minor injuries.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office officially identified Fuller as the driver who died in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal accident.
Dorothy Fuller’s passing is mourned by her community as they remember her life lost too soon in this tragic event.
