Fatal Serian car crash death of Herman Bangga Aba and Stella Labau – Obituary
A devastating three-vehicle accident along Mile 52 of Jalan Serian-Sri Aman near Kampung Engkabang B claimed the lives of Herman Bangga Aba and Stella Labau on Wednesday evening, May 28.
The collision, which occurred around 5:49 p.m., involved a lorry, a Toyota Hilux, and a Perodua Bezza. Emergency crews from the Serian Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene following an alert and found the driver and passenger of the Hilux trapped inside the wrecked vehicle.
Rescuers quickly worked to extricate both victims. Sadly, 50-year-olds Herman Bangga Aba and Stella Labau were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel after being freed from the wreckage.
Their remains were later handed over to local authorities and transported to Serian Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
The lorry driver, aged 47, sustained a head injury and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. When first responders arrived, neither the driver nor passenger of the Bezza was found at the crash site.
The rescue operation concluded at approximately 6:35 p.m. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collision.
