Fatal Bibb County shooting death of Isiah Macon – Obituary

A deadly shooting occurred early on May 24 in Bibb County, resulting in the death of 62-year-old Isiah Macon, authorities confirmed.

Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 800 block of Key Street at approximately 5:53 a.m. Upon arriving, they discovered Macon unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

He was transported to a local hospital for treatment but was later pronounced dead due to his injuries, according to Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.

At the time of the incident, no other injuries were reported. The case remains open, and investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
