Authorities in St. Louis have identified 9-year-old Jordan Neal as the young victim killed in a shooting incident that occurred on May 24, 2025.

Police responded at approximately 9:15 p.m. after a vehicle arrived at a hospital carrying three gunshot victims. Among them were a 32-year-old man, a 10-year-old boy, and Jordan Neal, who sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators determined that the shooting took place near the intersection of Bircher and Ruskin. The motive behind the gunfire remains unclear as detectives continue their work to piece together the events of that night.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Division is leading the investigation. Officers have been canvassing the neighborhood and analyzing evidence in an effort to identify those responsible.

Authorities are urging anyone who lives or works along Union or Bircher, especially near Interstate 70, and has security camera footage, to contact detectives at (314) 444-5371.
