Fatal Plymouth crash death of Karol Zalewski – Obituary

Heartfelt tributes have been shared for Karol Zalewski, a 27-year-old man from Plymouth who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Kings Road around 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20. Karol, affectionately known as Lolek by many, was involved in a collision with a red Mercedes and was declared dead at the scene.

Loved ones, friends, and the parkour community have expressed their grief and shared memories of Karol’s vibrant personality and lasting impact. His parents, Marzena and Tomasz, along with his younger brother Kamil, expressed deep sorrow in a statement: “We are incredibly touched by the kind words shared about our son. Knowing how much he meant to others helps us in this painful time.

“Our world has changed forever without him. He was a force of nature — full of life, constantly moving, and always spreading joy. His absence has left a space that can never be filled. Karol had so many dreams and plans for the future. He was taken from us suddenly, before we could even say goodbye.

“You always told us, ‘I love you,’ whenever we felt down, and we’d reply, ‘We love you more.’ What happens now, son? You would have made an amazing father. Life didn’t give you that chance. Thank you for choosing us to be your parents. We will love you always.”

Oskar Kieda, Karol’s closest friend of two decades, said: “Karol wasn’t just my best friend—he was family. We were total opposites, but together we made sense. He was the most genuine and kind-hearted person I’ve ever met. He always put others first and brought joy to everyone around him. I will forever carry him in my heart. Rest easy, my brother.”

Karol’s girlfriend, Meg Cadwaladr, added: “Lolek, your heart was pure. You loved deeply and gave your all to the people and causes you cared about. You had so many ambitions, and I still can’t accept that I’ll never see your smile again. We had so many dreams ahead of us. My love for you will never fade. You’re deeply missed.”

Members of the Plymouth Parkour Team honored Karol’s legacy: “Karol, or Lolek as we called him, lived with integrity and inspired many. He transformed from a quiet teen into a respected man with strong values, unwavering commitment, and a passion for mentoring future athletes. His laughter, energy, and spirit will remain with us always.”

Scruffy Boys, a close-knit parkour group, also mourned his passing: “You were the core of our crew. Your spontaneous energy kept us united, and your resilience was
