Martin T. Muller dies in fatal New Paltz, NY motorcycle crash

Fatal New Paltz, NY motorcycle crash death of Martin T. Muller – Obituary

Martin T. Muller, 62, of Mahopac, NY, was killed when his Harley-Davidson suffered a rear tire blowout and overturned on the northbound lanes of Interstate 87 near exit 18 in New Paltz on May 27, 2025.

According to State Police Highland, the tire failure caused the bike to slide and roll across the left lane until it came to rest. Muller was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest about 80 feet south of the point of impact.

First responders from New Paltz Rescue EMS performed life-saving measures at the scene before transporting Muller to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The New York State Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash to determine all contributing factors.
