Martina Carbonaro dies in fatal Afragola murder

Fatal Afragola murder death of Martina Carbonaro – Obituary

Martina Carbonaro, a 14-year-old girl from Afragola near Naples, was found dead after going missing for two days. Her body was discovered by carabinieri in a rundown building close to the former “Moccia” stadium, hidden under a mattress where she had been trying to evade her attacker.

The suspected killer, 18-year-old ex-boyfriend Alessio Tucci, was arrested and charged with aggravated murder and concealing a corpse. During questioning, Tucci admitted to striking Martina multiple times on the head with a rock, leading to her death. The motive appears linked to their recent breakup, which Martina had initiated just days before the crime, a separation Tucci was reportedly unable to accept.

Surveillance footage from the area helped reconstruct Martina’s final movements and identify the suspect. It is believed the murder took place either inside or near the building where her body was found. Despite Martina agreeing to meet Tucci at a familiar location, she reportedly refused to reconcile.

Following the tragedy, Martina’s mother posted on social media a vow that whoever harmed her daughter will face justice. Martina was reported missing after she told her mother she was going out for ice cream with a friend, but then lost contact. The mother later informed police that Martina had met her ex-boyfriend.

The full investigation continues. Support services remain available for those affected by the case.
