Fatal Southeast DC shooting death of Tequila Parker – Obituary

Tequila Parker, 32, lost her life after a shooting took place on May 27 in the 2300 block of Pitts Place SE in Washington, D.C. Authorities with the Metropolitan Police Department were called to the scene shortly after 12:40 p.m. and found Parker unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency responders from DC Fire and EMS attempted life-saving efforts, but Parker was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to MPD Chief Pamela Smith, the incident stemmed from a long-standing conflict between Parker and a neighbor. The situation escalated earlier that day when a physical altercation occurred. Witnesses say Parker was chased down the street by a man and a woman, at which point the man allegedly opened fire and fatally shot her.

Investigators are still looking into the case, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for details leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the homicide.
