Billy Ledoux dies in fatal Abbotsford stabbing

Fatal Abbotsford stabbing death of Billy Ledoux – Obituary

Billy Ledoux, a 15-year-old from Abbotsford, was fatally stabbed in a targeted attack at Larch Park on Sunday evening.

The incident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. in the 2600-block of Beck Road. Despite the efforts of bystanders and emergency responders, Ledoux succumbed to his injuries. Two teenagers arrested near the scene have since been cleared of any involvement.

Authorities believe the stabbing was not random. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team revealed Ledoux’s identity on Tuesday to help advance the investigation and asked anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area between 6:30 and 8 p.m. to come forward.

Ledoux’s family has expressed their grief and urged the community to pursue peace rather than revenge. His older sister, Kaitlin Bates, announced a vigil in his memory and has started a fundraiser to assist with the family’s expenses. The community is encouraged to honor Billy’s life while helping the investigation.
