Cincinnati, Ohio Man Corey Clark Arrested in North Avondale for Aggravated Robbery and Stolen Vehicle Pursuit

CINCINNATI, OHIO — Corey Clark, a 39-year-old resident of Cincinnati, was arrested in North Avondale on Thursday in connection with an aggravated robbery and a stolen vehicle chase that ended in a SWAT standoff.

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, Clark was taken into custody Thursday afternoon after officers attempted to stop a vehicle he was driving, which was identified as stolen. When officers approached, Clark fled, later abandoning the vehicle in the 3600 block of Victory Parkway and barricading himself inside a nearby office building. A brief SWAT standoff followed before officers apprehended him.

Authorities say the stolen vehicle belonged to Matthew Tallon of Eagle Construction and Concrete and was taken from a gas station in Fort Wright. Investigators also revealed Clark had an active warrant and was involved in a separate high-speed pursuit just two days prior.

Clark was transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center and is currently facing multiple charges related to robbery, vehicle theft, and drug possession, after officers reportedly discovered fentanyl concealed on him during the arrest.
