Floral City, Florida Man Trevor Kilpatrick Arrested in Citrus County for Armed Robbery and Police Chase

FLORAL CITY, FLORIDA — Trevor Kilpatrick, a 33-year-old resident of Floral City, was arrested in Citrus County in connection with an armed robbery and a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle.

According to the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Kilpatrick was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon after deputies responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Liquor Plus Store in Floral City. Witnesses said the masked suspect brandished a firearm and demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing across U.S. 41 into a wooded area.

Shortly after the robbery, a K9 deputy spotted a vehicle reported stolen earlier in the week. When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the driver fled, leading them on a chase down East Trails End Road. The suspect, later identified as Kilpatrick, lost control of the vehicle and ran into the woods, where he was apprehended after physically resisting arrest. A taser was deployed during the encounter.

Authorities said Kilpatrick was found with evidence tying him to the robbery, including stolen money, cigarettes, and clothing matching the suspect’s description. He is now facing 10 charges, including robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, grand theft, and fleeing law enforcement.

Kilpatrick was transported to the Citrus County Detention Center and is being held without bond.
