A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 64 in Scott County, Kentucky, has claimed the life of 48-year-old Jason Kintae Jones of Frankfort, officials have confirmed.

According to Scott County Coroner Mark Sutton, Jones was killed in the crash, which happened Thursday evening near the 69-mile marker on the westbound side of I-64.

The accident prompted authorities from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office to close all westbound lanes as they responded to the scene. While the investigation continues, traffic has since resumed and the roadway has reopened.
